In the year 2000 I began to keep a reading journal, recording the fleeting impressions of the books I read before they flit. The posts on this blog are adapted from that journal, and the information following the title (publisher and date) always corresponds to the edition of the book that I read. The illustration of book covers are chosen for their graphic appeal; photos of people are always of the author unless otherwise indicated.
